Doing Business in Today's Digital Age

The Importance of Ranking in Google

I have had so many people ask me if it's really so important to rank on Google searches.  My answer is this....Google runs the world.  If you aren't in good with Google, then you might as well be the shark bait in the shark tank.  No but seriously, it is impeartive that one's business ranks well with Google.  Here are the reasons why:

The Short Version

  • Increased Website Engagement
  • Visibility and Web Traffic
  • Credibility and Trust
  • Targeted Traffic

The long version

  • When your website ranks well on Google, people are more likely to check it out and interact with its content. This means staying on your site longer, looking at more than one page, and using your goods, services, or information. Better engagement can lead to more sales, sign-ups, or questions, among other things.
  • Visibility and Web Traffic: Google is the most widely used search engine globally, with billions of searches conducted each day. Securing a high ranking on relevant search results ensures visibility to a vast audience, potentially driving substantial organic traffic to your website or online presence.
  • Users tend to trust and rely on the search results provided by Google. Higher rankings imply that Google considers your content as authoritative and relevant, which helps build trust and credibility with your audience. A strong online presence enhances your brand reputation.
  • Unlike some marketing strategies that may only work for a short time, a strong organic search presence can help your online exposure last for a long time. You can keep or improve your results over time if you keep making high-quality content, optimize your website, and follow SEO best practices.
  • Google is used all over the world, which means you can reach foreign markets and audiences. If you rank well on Google, you can reach people outside of your immediate area and connect with possible customers all over the world.
  • Google's search engines try to give users the most useful answers to their questions. When certain keywords or phrases related to your niche or business rank well for your website, the visitors you get are more likely to be highly targeted and interested in what you have to offer. This makes it more likely that you'll get approved leads and sales.
  • Getting a high rank in organic search results can be cheaper in the long run than paid ads or other forms of marketing. Even though it may require initial investments in search engine optimization (SEO) and content creation, the long-term benefits can outweigh the costs, as organic traffic continues to flow without direct costs per click or impact.

In the digital world of today, where businesses compete for customers' attention, ranking higher in search results than your rivals can give you a big edge. Higher ranks make it more likely that potential customers will find your business first. This makes it more likely that you will catch their attention and turn them into loyal customers.
